Another Full Week

2025-10-12

This week we had some beautiful weather, school went well, and I got to see my friends on Friday and Saturday.

Working on a paper for school.

Food Lab: Pickles

Tasting

Dad and I were not big fans of the pickles - but Mom LOVES them.

Food Lab: Chocolate mousse

First we make some whipped cream.

Time to taste...

Folding the whipped cream into the chocolate.

Time to lick the bowl clean!

Dad approves. So do I.

Scooping some out for dessert after it had a chance to set.

Mmmmm...great!

I did a little LEGO building this week.

Conquistador meeting the Aztecs.

Friday we went to the park with Nick and Jonathan. And then in the evening we went to Jonathan's house. We brought the chocolate mousse to share. Jonathan and I played in the woods and in the house while our parents talked around the fire.

At the park.

At Jonathan's.

Saturday morning we all went grocery shopping, and to the farmer's market. We stopped at the library to pick up some things Dad ordered, and discovered Anthony's drum line was doing a performance, so we stayed to watch. It was really fun to see him play.

Waiting for the show to start.

Anthony is in the front row in the middle.

And then Anthony came over to play video games after lunch for a few hours.

Sunday we stayed home. Dad and I worked on my Sherlock paper, and I worked on my history project. Dad worked on some projects around the house and Mom worked on getting ready for another week of school.

And here are Mom's puzzles for the week:

This week I have been reading Henry V: The Astonishing Triumph of England's Greatest Warrior King by Dan Jones, and Dad is listening to the audiobook. We had to take a little break from To Kill a Mockingbird so I could catch up on the papers I need to write.

This week we watched: 13th, a documentary about the 13th amendment and its consequences; Parts Unknown on Spain; several episodes of Sherlock; and Hamlet, the BBC production with David Tennant as Hamlet and Patrick Stewart as Claudius. Hamlet was good...but it was so long.

And that was my week. Take care!
