This past week was a good one. I saw a lot of friends, went swimming, went to the medieval museum, built some LEGO, went on some bike rides - a good summer week.
Fun at Recess.
The bakery I built.
The front of the shop.
Anthony over for games again.
A funny thing we discovered in the game.
Moms at the pool.
Me, Kellan, and Jonathan going off the diving board.
At the pool with my friends.
Saturday we waited out the heavy rain and then went to the medieval museum to look around again and see this month's talk, which was about medieval myths. I really enjoyed the talk - and I enjoyed talking to all the people working at the museum, too. And Kellan, Annika, and their brother Sam also came to the museum - it was their first time.
Talking to Nathan at the museum.
With Annika at the museum.
This castle picture is listed as unidentified, but I recognized that it is Harlech Castle in Wales.
A British Navy pistol, like Captain Aubrey might have carried in Master and Commander.
The first breech-loading rifle.
A little info about the rifle (hard to get a good picture with the glare).
Saturday was also movie night, and then we worked on some LEGO.
Having spaghetti while we watched a spaghetti western - A Fistful of Dollars.
Our Sunday build - the start of a windmill.
This week we are still focusing on finishing Star Trek: Deep Space 9, we are in the seventh season and the end is in sight! We also watched a little bit of Big Bang Theory. Dad and I watched A Fistful of Dollars as mentioned above. This was on purpose, as it is a remake of last week's movie, Yojimbo.
On my own, I am still reading Will in Scarlet, and Dad and I finished listening to James on Sunday night. It was very different at the end from Huckleberry Finn. I liked the different ending - it seemed less silly than the original.
And that was my week. Take care!
