Summer is winding down. Mom is done with my curriculum and syllabi, and school is starting soon. One more week of freedom!
This week Mom and Dad had some puzzles out for something relaxing to do.
Anthony came over to play some games again.

On Wednesday I had a visit with the orthodontist, and then we went to see GG, Grandpa Kevin, and Zelda (who was staying with them for a few days).

After our visit we went to BAM to get our free bricks for the month. We talked to Sean, one of the workers there, about Deep Space Nine for quite a while - he is a big Star Trek fan.

Taking a lunch break for some pizza and a cookie.
Yum!

Thursday we met Jonathan and Caroline at the park.
At Recess with Jonathan - showing me some new stuff he made.
And Friday we went swimming.
At the pool - it was HOT! Heat index over 100!
Caroline curled up in her chair.

We stayed home for the weekend. I only left the house to go for walks with Dad. Otherwise, we played with LEGO in the basement and had some donuts. Oh, and Mom and Dad worked on another puzzle.
Puzzle Almost Done - didn't quite make it before bedtime.
This week I finished reading Will in Scarlet and I am working on doing a book report on it, so I have not started a new book. The book is about the start of Robin Hood's career with the Merry Men, aided by Will, a local boy displaced by the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Dad and I started listening to Watership Down, which is our last book for the summer. It is really good - the stories about El-ahrairah, the rabbit trickster, are my favorite, and Peter Capaldi does a great job reading the story and doing voices.
We are closing in on the last few episodes of Deep Space Nine, and we also watched a few episodes of Big Bang Theory. The movie for this week was NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind, a film by Hayao Miyzaki about an Earth that was destroyed by humans and is now recovering from the damage done to the environment. NausicaƤ is trying to stop the remaining humans from killing each other and destroying what is left of the world. Lots of action and excitement, plus some funny parts. And Patrick Stewart did one of the voices!
And that was my week. Take care!
For a bonus, here are some pictures of Lily from this week:
