This week I hung out with Jonathan and Anthony, went on some bike rides and walks with Dad, and listened to a lot of History Hit. Mom worked on curriculum and kept the house in order - as she always does. She doesn't get enough credit for it. Thanks Mom!
This was also the last week of the Tour de France, so that was on the TV every morning. We all had a bit of tour fatigue in the third week of racing. I was happy Tadej was winning, and Mom and Dad were happy to see some other riders get away from the peloton and win some stages.
Playing video games with Anthony.
Clouds moving in....
Showing Jonathan what I have been working on.
I am building a medieval city.
These are some houses and a windmill.
Documenting a particularly wild hair day.
Friday morning I had an appointment, and afterward we drove over to see Grandma Wynne, Uncle Neil, and Lily. We hung out at a park for while - it was really nice morning. In the afternoon we went to BAM to fill our free bag of LEGO for the month. We packed three-fourths of the bag really well...and then kind of gave up and just dumped the rest of the stuff in. It did turn out to be our heaviest haul so far, weighing in at 13.6 pounds.
Walking Lily at the park.
Neil, Lily, and me.
Me and Grandma Wynne.
Digging for LEGO.
Working hard to pack the bag.
Here are some pictures Dad took for people who might be tired of looking at LEGO.
Our wild daisy patch (actually one of three).
Dad stopped to take this on his bike ride Sunday morning.
And if you wanted some more pictures of LEGO, here you go:
A stable.
Another shot of the fortified windmill.
This week I finished reading The Never-ending Story and went back to reading some Calvin and Hobbes. Dad and I finished reading The Te of Piglet and we both agreed it was not as good as The Tao of Pooh.
For movies, Dad and I watched Stand By Me on Wednesday night, which was really good - and it had Wil Wheaton in it! Thursday night we watched Breaking Away - I wasn't sure what it was supposed to be about at first, but I liked it a lot. Especially the dad: "Refund?! Refund?!"
Friday night we watched The Never-ending Story movie - the book was better. Saturday we watched Happy Gilmore and Sunday we watched Happy Gilmore 2. I laughed a lot at both of them.
And that was my week! Take care!
