I will start with the sad news: we lost Loki this week. She had not been eating, and when Grandpa Al took her to the vet the scans showed she had stomach cancer that was very advanced. Her heart was also working too hard, and she was suffering. So Grandpa made the only choice he could. I am really sad she is gone. Here is a link to a page of pictures of Loki from the years we were lucky to have her.
We had a quieter week otherwise. We did school, but no recess. We didn't go anywhere, other than on some bike rides.
Of course I built some LEGO this week...
MOC of Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii.
MOC of Lighthouse of Alexandria.
Mom and I watched Dragon Prince and went for a some walks.
Me and Mom.
Out for a walk.
A very tame deer Dad saw on a walk.
It was also time for a haircut, especially with the warmer weather and swimming starting soon.
Time for a haircut.
Visiting with Beans.
Mom and Dad bumped into Surprise the cat. They found out his real name is Finn.
Me and Mom.
Uncle Neil went up to the North Shore with John this week, and he brought back some presents. He got me a t-shirt, a cool journal, and an amazing map. I have been researching the shipwrecks on the map ever since I got it.
My new favorite map.
In other news, this week I finished And Then There Were None, and started reading Anna of Byzantium by Tracy Barrett. Dad and I read a short book about Admiral James Stockdale, and started reading Civil Disobedience by Henry David Thoreau. For our viewing this week we watched Exit Through the Gift Shop, a movie about street artists like Bansky and Shepard Fairey.
And that was my week. Take care!
