Surprise Vacation!

This week I was at Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's because Mom and Dad were still working on fixing up the house. So I got a whole week off of school I was not expecting! I went to see GG and Kevin a few times, and we went out for ice cream and to BAM. I went to BAM with Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne. I bought some LEGO sets at Target and built alternate models - I will have some pictures of those next time. And I went to the dog park a few times.

Here are some dog park pictures from the week.

Other than the dog park, while Mom and Dad were busy working, I was reading Calvin and Hobbes, watching Andor and Clone Wars, and working on making lists, and plans, and maps for all sorts of LEGO projects.

Picking up from last week, Mom and Dad had painted the living room and dining room. Next up: baseboard and new outlets and switches. And then my room!

Mom and Dad had to go get some carpet for my room. They managed to get it in our vehicle.

And we needed some new furniture, so that meant a road trip to IKEA.

Back home, it was time to put my room together.

And now it is installed.

With the furniture in place - lots of new drawers and doors for my stuff, and a new lamp.

Mom is tired, but happy with the results.

Another trip to Menards for some little things - and for more carpet. This time for Mom and Dad's room.

I'm back - and now I'm as tall as Mom!

Mom and Dad made space in my room so I could have some of my LEGO in there, so I got busy deciding what would be in there.

And then we all had supper and watched Raising Hope - back to normal, except everything looks so different!

That was my week. Thanks to Mom and Dad for doing all that work, to Uncle Neil for coming over to do the carpet, to Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al for letting me stay so long on no notice, and to GG and Kevin for hanging out with me.

And now back to normal for a few days - until the weekend when Mom and Dad's room gets paint and baseboard and carpet.
