This week was a little odd. We did normal things, like going to the doctor, having school, meeting people for Recess, we even went to Jonathan's house to sit out by a fire and play in the woods.
But we also cleaned out Mom and Dad's bedroom so they could get new paint and baseboard and carpet, and I went to a college class. Plus, we didn't do school on Thursday and Friday, the nicest days of the week, so Mom and Dad could get the work done without dealing with rainy weather. We did school on the weekend, when it was rainy and cold.
Going for a visit with one of my doctors.
At Recess with Nick and Jonathan.
Wednesday the busiest day for me.
I helped move the bed!
Sun in an empty room.
The bedrooms look so small when they are empty - it's weird.
Mom and Dad slept in the dining room for two nights.
At my first college class - on the American Revolution, with one of Dad's professors from college.
At Jonathan's, playing with the bow and arrows he made.
Mom and Dad painted on Thursday morning, and then Neil came over in the afternoon to do the carpet. Mom and I went to meet Jonathan and Caroline at the park, since it was so nice out - and to be out of the way.
Dad and Neil pulled out the carpet from the bedroom.
Neil is getting all the staples up.
No, we are not carpeting the driveway - it was just easier to cut it down to size out here. Good thing it wasn't raining.
Neil getting the carpet ready....
Dad's set up for cutting all the baseboard.
One of the new shelves in the closet. Still waiting on some drawer inserts.
All the furniture back in the room.
Mom and Dad also hauled all the old carpet and baseboard to the scrap yard, so our new car has now been used as a dump truck, just like the old one was.
We got some DQ for a treat after all our hard work (well, mostly Mom and Dad did the hard work). I got some, too - but I ate it in the car on the way home. So here's a picture of Mom enjoying her strawberry cheesecake Blizzard - the same one I had. Dad got Butterfinger. Thanks to GG and Grandpa Kevin for the gift card to DQ!
Other than all that, I am still reading Calvin & Hobbes, we are watching DS9 again, and we are almost done with Raising Hope.
And that was my week! No more big house projects for a little while. We have some LEGO sets that need to get built!
Take care!
