Another good week of school with Mom. I went to the orthodontist on Tuesday and they said I get my braces on next week. Not super excited about it, but I have to do it so I can be done with it. We only did one day of Recess - we met Nick at Farmer's Park and played in the creek. I also played with my Axis and Allies game this week, and listened to the Great Battles in American History podcast. Dad and I went on some bike rides, and I have a picture of what we did to Mom and Dad's closet. And all that covers Monday through Friday.
Building a dam with Nick.
Playing with my Axis and Allies games this week.
Sunrise bike ride. We did this three days in a row.
Dad saw this on the way to work - it looks like the tree is smoking, but it's just evaporation in the morning sunlight.
Picture of the new closet arrangement from last week.
Saturday we did some more cleaning, but not a lot. I watched Lawrence of Arabia and worked on some LEGO projects. Mom and Dad did some trip planning for next year's adventure.
Sunday morning Dad and I went to a LEGO show. They had a lot of cool stuff and we took a lot of pictures...so here goes:
Mos Eisley, showing a scene from Book of Boba Fett.
The award ceremony from the end of A New Hope.
The duel between Qui-gon and Darth Maul from The Phantom Menace.
The Naboo hangar that I've seen so many times in my LEGO book!
Dad wants to build some of these to add to our LEGO flowers.
The Iron Giant is awesome, but this is WAAAAAY too expensive.
Talking with the guys from It's A Block Party - we visited their store last year on our trip.
A cool park with a train running around it.
Dinosaur eggs!
Aang!
Captain Jack's compass!
No way I am leaving here without this!
Jabba's Palace with a Rancor pit.
Battle on Scarif from Rogue One.
Battle of Umbara!
A cool little scene with knights.
I love this little island fortress!
And this sentry tower - it looks a little like something from Breath of the Wild.
Another small tower.
This windmill looks like something from Breath of the Wild as well.
This battleship is HUGE!
Sokka's boomerang.
These are amazing - Cap's shield, Mjolnir, and The Master Sword.
A few lightsabers....
Ninja Turtle weapons...
I got to hold all the weapons...
Ahsoka's lightsaber, the big one.
I have both of Ahsoka's in this picture.
Kylo Ren's lightsaber.
Yoda's lightsaber.
This is Anakin's lightsaber - so also the one Obi-Wan gives Luke.
The Master Sword from Legend of Zelda.
Captain Rex's helmet - it's life size.
Ready to beat on Thanos!
A little blurry, but this is Sting, from The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
Michelangelo's nunchuks.
Leonardo's katana.
Raphael's sais.
Plo Koon's lightsaber.
Rey's lightsaber from Rise of Skywalker.
Obi-Wan's lightsaber - I had to do his pose from Clone Wars.
Luke's lightsaber, the one he made for himself.
Darth Vader's lightsaber.
Mace Windu's lightsaber.
Looking for some minifigs to add to the collection - I really liked this way of displaying them.
A cool little church that's part of a bigger display.
Here's the rest of it. I really like the logo built into the castle wall.
The forest scene is really detailed - and there is actual water running in the stream!
Here's the backside, showing some of the interior.
And I got to see the other LEGO roller coaster.
We stopped at Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's for lunch, but I couldn't wait to build my compass.
I bought a Kamala Harris minifig! Now I need a Tim Walz. I also bought a Ron Swanson minifig, but we forgot to get a picture of it.
We watched some good movies this weekend: The Help, which I really liked, especially the part about the pie Minnie made for Hilly; The Bridge on he River Kwai which was great and I had been waiting to see it; and The Abyss, which I liked, but it was a little too long for me (we watched the extended cut).
We did read, as well. I am still working on The Dark Frigate, Dad and I are still working on Sophie's World, and we finished listening to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, which I really liked.
And that was my week - take care!
