So this week started out great. The weather was beautiful, Mom and I did school outside in the park in the mornings, and Dad and I were riding around the lakes every afternoon. And then on Thursday, right around noon, it all fell apart when I got my foot caught in the tube slide and broke my leg. If you're curious, it's a type 2 Salter-Harris fracture.

This is where it happened - on the big slide.

Trying out crutches.
The results of my visit.
I was struggling with the crutches and Mom didn't want to risk me falling again, so Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al came over with a transfer chair that Grandma Wynne had used when she was hurt, and both Great-grandma Dorothy and Great-grandma Darlene had used when they needed it. They also brought Culver's for supper. It was nice out, so we ate outside.

Auntie Kara came over Friday morning with a big bag of candy and some little cars and Driven toys. She didn't stay long, but it was fun to see her.

In the afternoon, GG and Grandpa Kevin came over - and they brought Max and Abby. Oh, and some presents: more little cars for me to play with and a LEGO set of a race car and a dragster (Dad forgot to get a picture after they were unwrapped).

The weekend was quiet - I watched a cartoon Mom found called The Deep, which was really good. Mostly I tried to be still and keep my leg elevated. On Sunday Angie came over, so she got to see my cast.

And Sunday evening a package showed up from Kara, Josh, and Freya.

Mostly I am doing all right. My leg was not hurting at all on Sunday night. The transfer chair is working really well to move me around the house, and I can stand up out of it and sit back down without any help. We set up a table I can use for playing and for school that sits high enough the chair arms can get under it. Obviously, getting special food, presents, and visitors has been nice. Thank you!
We will find out on this coming Friday what will happen next. A hard cast is a possibility, but so is a brace or no cast - we won't know until there are more x-rays to look at.
That was my week! Take care and don't break anything!
