A Decade of Henry

This was my birthday week - and I am now ten! Which means you just might have been reading this blog for ten years.

Picking up where we left off last week, Kara and Freya were down to celebrate my birthday with me. They were still here Monday morning - and Dad insisted that we get chocolate cake for breakfast. Daddy would like everyone to note that he did not advocate for the partial donut and cinnamon roll that are also on the plates.

After breakfast we had some playtime. Everyone but Dad played Sorry, and Mom made the most amazing comeback win: Kara, Freya, and I all had three pieces safe at home and Mom had none on the board...but she still managed to beat all of us!

Mom is only one move away from winning in this shot.

And Freya and I built some MagnaTiles towers to knock down after our devastating loss.

On Thursday, Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne came over. They wanted to bring me some presents and pick up some stuff for their move next week. They also brought me Culver's for lunch!

The Land Bounty! From Diane, David, John, and Bill. Thanks!

So excited to build this!

Grandpa and Grandma also gave me a present - it was a bag of oatmeal. Just kidding - they actually gave me some money for my birthday so I could buy what I wanted. They just pretended to give me a bag of oatmeal to trick me.

Friday was my actual birthday, and I got a cookie cake. Dad took the afternoon off so we could build LEGO together and do other fun stuff - like eat cookie cake! And I found a new way to blow out candles....

Daddy didn't get a video, so he made a GIF of the still pictures - that's why it looks a little funny.

Saturday morning we drove over to see GG and Grandpa Kevin because they had some presents for me.

Hmmmm...

What's in here?

A Samoyed puppy!

A Doctor Who book!

Another history book...

The American Revolution!

It's a TARDIS! From Doctor Who!

Thanks for all the cool stuff!

After we got home from our little road trip, Daddy and I did some building. Here are two of my newest LEGO sets:

This is the Fire Stone Mech from Ninjago.

This is Zane's Titan Mech from Ninjago.

We also watched The Adventures of Tintin, which was really funny - I can't wait to watch it again!

Sunday was just a quiet day at home. I watched some cartoons, played with my toys, visited the neighborhood dogs on a walk with Dad, and did some reading.

And that was it for my week...and my first decade. Thanks for reading! Take care!
