New House

2021-01-31

The big news this week is that Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne finally moved to their new house - their first move in 38 years! Dad and I went over on Thursday afternoon to help out. We moved a few car loads of stuff, Dad set up the router, and then we helped clean the old house. We were, of course, too busy to take pictures. But who wants to see pictures of boxes piled up in the new house or empty rooms in the old ones?

On Friday, we went again and brought Mom to set up the kitchen. Dad and Grandpa moved a lot of stuff, then they went out to get some tall chairs for the kitchen bar - and they picked some really great ones. We did some more work after that and ate some pizza, then we headed home. Again, too busy for pictures.

Saturday we went back again. We set up my room in the basement with all of my toys, and Dad and Grandpa cleaned out the storage unit, I helped Neil shovel off the deck (Dad finally took some pictures), and I played with Loki. We left earlier than the other two days because we were tired and some ice and snow were headed our way.

So yes, I spent most of three days at Grandpa and Grandma's new house and only have one picture...and it's just of the view off the deck.

Back home on Sunday, we had some snow to clear. I got to use the little snowblower that Grandpa gave me because he no longer needs it.

I did some reading, played with my toys, and Mom and I watched some Dr. Who. We all needed a day of rest. Which we all mostly got.

And that was the week. Take care!
