This Week: Sawyer, Truck Show, and Apple Orchard

2014-09-07

Now that I'm all caught up on the blog again, I can tell you about my week right after it happened!

We all had Monday off for the holiday, so we stayed home and Sawyer came over to play LEGO with me and Daddy. We got started before Sawyer even got there by building me a spaceship! We had lots of fun with LEGO and played hide and seek watched a little Curious George.

Spaceship! Spaceship! SPACESHIP!

Sawyer brought his Kragle set so Daddy could help him finish building it.

Showing Sawyer the new table arrangement.

Building our little trains with Daddy and Angie.

Mommy spent the day in the kitchen turning all these tomatoes into tomato sauce.

School was good all of the short week - I managed to not get hurt. I didn't want to miss the truck show on Saturday.

At the truck show with Grandpa Al.

Uncle David and Uncle Bill came to see the trucks with us!

This tow truck is towing a wagon.

I really like running between the trailers - especially the shiny ones.

My new truck shirt - a blue Kenworth.

Pausing to rehydrate.

Me by a blue Peterbilt.

By another Peterbilt.

This Kenworth looks just like the one on my shirt.

After the truck show we went to Great-grandpa Les and Great-grandma Muriel's house for lunch. Grandma Wynne and Mommy were already there playing cards while Daddy and I were looking at trucks.

Showing everyone how my excavator works.

Great-grandpa wouldn't give me back my penguin until I picked up all my toys.

Daddy and I took a nap after lunch, then all of us except Great-grandpa went to the store. I went back to Grandpa Al's house with Grandpa and Daddy, and Mommy went to bingo with Grandma Wynne and Great-grandma Muriel.

After supper, Daddy and I went with Grandpa to see Great-grandma Dorothy in her tower. We saw a big balloon go right by the window and we watched it for a long time - there was just one guy on the basket and he kept almost crashing into trees! And we saw the moon up in the sky, too. The moon was almost full.

And then on Sunday we went to the apple orchard! We rode on the wagon and picked some apples and Grandpa got lost in the corn maze and I had to go find him. That was a lot of fun!

Running to the orchard buildings.

Me with a big apple.

I guess this makes me a cow-boy.

Everyone on the wagon!

Picking an apple with Daddy.

Filling up our bag.

I pick this one!

Me and Mommy with the best apple I picked.

Having an apple pastry snack.

Happy together!

After the orchard it was time for lunch, so we went to the drive-in for what will probably be the last time this season.

Riding the Pink Panther truck while waiting for my food.

Cut that out, Grandma and Grandpa - people might think you still like each other after all these years!

Eating my apple with Daddy.

Waiting for my ice cream cone after lunch.

Ahh!

Getting a few licks in before it started to melt faster than I could eat it. Daddy "helped" me eat it.

That was about it. I went home after lunch and took a nap. Grandma and Grandpa stayed for a while so Daddy could get some work done at the house when Mommy was at the library studying.

And that was my week. Take care everybody - see you next time!
