Busted Up

2014-09-03

This post covers August 25 through August 31st.

Well, I almost made it through my first week of preschool without any incidents. On Friday I fell down playing and scuffed up both my knees and my forehead. It didn't hurt too bad. After school Mommy and Daddy bought me some LEGO to celebrate my first week as a preschooler.

Saturday morning I went for a walk with Duke and Daddy and got all wet because it started raining before we got home. Then we all went to the farmer's market and the store. Daddy and I dropped off Mommy at work, and I was playing outside the library when I fell again. This time I slipped in some water and fell on a metal grate. I got another bump on my forehead, I got a cut and a bruise between my nose and my lip, and I scraped my gums. There was a lot of blood. But we made it home and I watched some George and Daddy gave me some medicine so my head and my lip wouldn't hurt so much - and we still had a good day.

We built my new LEGO sets and then Daddy tried to get some pictures of my ouch by pretending he was trying to take a picture of my new toys. You can see I foiled his plan because you can't really see how big the bump on my forehead is or how bad my lip looks. Daddy says I look like I was in a fight.

My new ambulance.

My new fire truck.

"No more looking at my ouch, Daddy!"

Sunday morning Mommy and Daddy decided to move some furniture. They brought my train table into the living room and put the chair in the entryway.

Dancing while Mommy and Daddy move furniture.

ust after they finished moving things, Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al showed up for a visit. They helped me break-in the new arrangement by assisting me in making a big mess.

The living room is now my room.

Playing with Grandpa Al and Duke.

Trying to walk in Grandpa Al's shoes.

Grandma and Grandpa went home after I had supper and then Daddy made me take a bath so I would be ready for school in the morning.

That was my excitement for the week. Take care!

P.S. The blog is now caught up from the two week break during the summer - next week we will be back to our regular schedule (here's a teaser: we are going to a truck show!).
