When I wrote last week, I had a fever. That finally broke for good on Tuesday afternoon. I had to stay home from school on Wednesday, too, since I have to be fever-free for 24-hours before I can go to school. That was fine. I got to spend more time with Mommy and Daddy.
Of course, by Tuesday afternoon they were running out of things to do with me, so they tried to recreate a picture from when I was smaller (click here to see the original). I decided not to be fully cooperative.
I was still not feeling 100%, so Mommy and Daddy were still keeping a close eye on me at night.
Me and Daddy getting some rest.
On Thursday I spent the whole day at school. I was falling asleep during nap time when Mommy and Daddy came to get me, so they left me there to have fun with my friends. After school we went to a end-of-year party for school at a park. There were lots of kids and parents and I saw Kellie and Jill and Angie and Josh and many other people. There was a bubble machine, and I went wading in the water for a little while. That was fun. Mommy and Daddy forgot the camera, so there are no pictures to share.
Saturday morning we got up early and went to surprise Grandpa Al. Then we went to the inspection for the house Great-grandpa Les and Great-grandma Muriel want to buy. Mommy and I walked around outside for most of it, then Daddy took over watching me and we found an excavator to look at - it was big and orange.
After that, we went shopping with Grandma Gail and Great-grandma and Great-grandpa. I ate some cookies. Mommy and Daddy were excited when I said "more cookie." I was getting pretty tired and hungry when we were done at the store, and I fell asleep in the car. I took a nap on the floor at Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's house.
When I woke up, we went to surprise Grandma Wynne with a visit - Daddy didn't tell her Mommy and I were coming to town with him. Grandma Wynne fell down again this week. She cracked two ribs and had one partially collapsed lung. She was in the hospital for a few days and now she is staying in a place where she can get some training on how best to move with her wrist and knee all banged up from three weeks ago. Hopefully she'll be home again next weekend. We went to Noodles for supper and then went home. Before I went to bed, Daddy mowed the lawn and I got to watch!
Sunday morning I woke up early, so Daddy took me on a morning walk with Duke. Then we all took a nap. We ate lunch early and went down to the river to walk around. After that we bought some groceries and I took another nap. When I woke up, we went for another walk and played outside. Jim and Betty next door are letting me use their car, so I took it out for a spin.
Sharing my yogurt with Duke at lunch.
Watching the train with Daddy.
Driving my borrowed car.
On the road again....
That was about it for the week. I'm happy to be feeling better. Take care everyone!
P.S. from Daddy:
Since Henry has slept well on a cot the two times he's been in day care all day, we decided to let him sleep on his mattress outside his crib. About ninety minutes after he fell asleep, Ali went in to check on him. She didn't see him on the mattress, so she turned on the light. She still didn't see him. She said, "He's gone!" Then we looked around the door to find him as you see pictured below. He never woke up, never made any noise, but he managed to move from the mattress on the right of the picture to the door. When we say he's an active sleeper, we aren't kidding.
