Vacation From Mommy and Daddy

Hello, everyone!

Grandma Wynne's surgery on her wrist went well, and so did the surgery on her leg. She was stuck in the hospital for a whole week! I went to see her on Wednesday night, but that was it. I stayed with Kara and Josh for the weekend and then I got sick again.

But before that, we went with Great-grandpa Les and Great-grandma Muriel to look at a house close to where Grandma Gail and Grandpa Kevin live. Everyone likes the house and Great-grandpa and Great-grandma are going to buy it (hopefully) and then I will get to see them much more often. After we looked at the house we went out to celebrate at the restaurant with the trains.

Since it was almost Mother's Day, Great-grandma Muriel got some presents.

Great-grandma and Great-grandpa went home, and then Mommy and Daddy took me to Auntie Kara and Uncle Josh's house. I needed a break from taking care of Mommy and Daddy all the time, so I went to take care of Kara and Josh. We had lots of fun.

On Friday I played with all the cool toys at Auntie Kara and Uncle Josh's house, and then we went out for supper at Noodles! My favorite place to eat. Saturday was National Train Day and in the morning we went to see trains at the train museum and the fairgrounds! It was awesome. More choo-choo! More choo-choo!

I was really tired Saturday afternoon and I started having a fever. Mommy and Daddy were home from their trip, but when Auntie Kara called to tell them I was sick and throwing up. Mommy and Daddy came to get me right away - but I was asleep when they arrived.

In the morning I was still feverish, so I rode with Mommy, Auntie Kara, and Uncle Josh home. Daddy went to Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne's to pick up Duke and switch back to our car (Mommy and Daddy drove Grandma's new car on their trip). Before Daddy got home, Mommy and I went to the ER because my fever was so high. Daddy found us there. The doctors got my fever down but they weren't sure why I was having it.

And that was it for the week. Not to keep you in suspense: I had a fever most of Monday as well, but I am feeling much better now, which is why I am able to do the blog.
