Home at Last!

2012-12-16

Monday morning we headed home from Kara and Josh's house after the snowstorm. The roads were rough from packed snow and ice, but Daddy didn't slide the van around at all. I slept on the way home and dreamed of playing with my new kitchen.

When we got home we had a lot to unpack and do:

Mommy gave Duke his present from Max and Abby - they got him a little skunk chew toy in honor of him getting sprayed by a skunk this fall.

See, I got ahold of him like this and then I...

What do you mean, "Don't do that again"?

Daddy had to clear all the snow off our driveway and sidewalk - thankfully it wasn't the seven to ten inches we had heard about. And Daddy was happy the snowblower started on the first try (Daddy says "Thanks again, Uncle David, for the great housewarming present").

I had an appointment in the afternoon, so we rushed off to that after Daddy moved the snow. And when we got home we went to see the holiday train!

A nice policeman took a picture of me and Mommy and Daddy.

And then we saw Brian from Daddy's work, his wife Melanie, and their baby girl Arianna.

Daddy holding me up so I could see the band playing in one of the train cars.

We played with LEGO this week - Daddy built three different houses for me. This is the second one.

My new place.

Friday night Mommy and Daddy's friends Jenna and Greg came to visit, and I had a fever. I couldn't get to sleep and then I was up until after midnight. Mommy finally got me to go to sleep, and then Daddy checked on me a few hours later. Since I didn't get much sleep, I took a three hour nap in the morning and a two and a half-hour nap in the afternoon. Mommy and Daddy had a peaceful Saturday.

On Sunday we went to the mall and saw some people Mommy and Daddy know. I pushed their little girl around in her stroller.

And then we found a motorcycle for me to ride! One that is more my size than Daddy's.

There were a lot of cars in the mall - here I am admiring a new VW Passat.

That's about it for my adventures this week. See you next time!

Here are some pictures of Daddy's LEGO project from this weekend:

All the pieces, ready to build.

The finished product. That he won't let me play with.
