Week Two Without Mommy

2012-04-09

his was my second week without Mommy. Grandma Wynne took the week off to help Daddy take care of me. And lucky you, we remembered to take some pictures this week.

On Monday, Great-grandma Dorothy, Uncle David, and Uncle Bill came over to Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's house to visit with me.

Great-grandma Dorothy and me.

In the big-person swing with Great-grandma Dorothy.

Taking a break from playing.

Wheeeeeeee! Wheelie!

Grandpa Al bought me a little swing!

In my new swing - look at that!

Hey everyone! I'm swinging!

On Wednesday, Grandma Gail and Grandpa Kevin came over. They fed me breakfast and played with me and my farm toys.

Grandma Gail and Grandpa Kevin played with my barn.

Grandma Gail, I'm too busy playing to pose for pictures.

Wednesday afternoon I went to visit my friends Xander, Tennyson, and Urizen. They had a car in their house!

Zoom zoom!

Left turn, Clyde!

I had fun playing with the boys and all of their toys. Daddy visited with Sebastian and Rhonda, we all listened to Tennyson explain his new favorite game, and Xander showed us how to play Minecraft.

It wasn't me. Honest.

Daddy, Xander, Tennyson, and Urizen in jail.

Now I'm in jail with them!

On Thursday night Diane and Milton came over to see me. They were impressed by how well I can walk.

Me and Diane.

Having fun at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Friday morning I went back to my house with Daddy and Grandma Wynne. Grandpa Al and Uncle Neil were going to fix the bathroom, so we left to stay out of their way. Grandma Wynne played with me all day Friday and all day Saturday while Daddy was working. Since we left Duke with Grandpa, I could run all over the house and not have to worry about bumping into him.

On Saturday there was a card for me in the mailbox! Aunt Jennifer sent me a card for Easter! Thank you, Jennifer!

When we were having lunch on Saturday Daddy cut my hair. Just enough to get it out of my eyes. He tried to do a nice job, but I wouldn't sit still for him. Finally, he just grabbed a hunk of hair and cut it, and then another and another and this is the result:

My new haircut. Thanks, Dad.

Another view.

Sunday we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house so we could go to Great-grandma Dorothy's for Easter. I had started getting sick while we were at home, and on Sunday my nose was running and I was coughing and I was miserable, so Daddy and I left not long after we got to Great-grandma's. I fell asleep in the car and Daddy drove me around so I could get some rest.

After we got back to Grandma and Grandpa's house and I had some milk, I was feeling better. I played with my trucks and my barn. Janice and Jerry brought Grandma and Grandpa home. Janice and Jerry gave me a little step stool to stand on when I get big enough to start brushing my teeth (thank you!). When I started to get crabby again, Daddy fed me and put me to bed.

And that was the week. Mommy comes back on Monday night and we will go home Tuesday morning and life will get back to normal. Whatever normal is.

Take care, everyone!
