Where Did My Snow Go?

2011-12-19

Hey, all the snow disappeared! What happened? I thought it was supposed to be winter. I have a special suit for snow and everything. Oh well, maybe we'll get some more.

This week Grandpa Al brought Great-grandma Dorothy to visit me. We had lots of fun.

Grandpa Al read me a story about babies.

Relaxing with Great-grandma Dorothy.

Grandpa Al thought it would be funny for Duke to wear my hat. I don't think Duke thought it was funny.

I've been enjoying my new room. It has so much...room! And carpet. That hardwood floor was a little cold on my belly, even with two layers of clothes on.

Making a mess in the closet.

Playing in my room.

I've been reading a lot. Mommy and Daddy like to read to me, but I also like to spend some time on my own browsing my bookshelves and flipping through some of my favorites, like this one pictured below. I love the part about the blue tractor.

Reading one of my books, waiting for food.

We stopped to drop Duke off at Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's on the way to Uncle Josh's birthday party on Friday - and Grandma Wynne had a surprise for me. She had Uncle Neil help her find a Llama llama toy for me!

Uncle Josh and Auntie Kara are reading me Llama llama Red Pajama and I have red pajamas on and I have the Llama llama red pajama doll.

For Uncle Josh's birthday on Saturday we went to a fancy bowling alley that had a nice restaurant. Or maybe it was a nice restaurant with a fancy bowling alley. Mommy and I got there early - everyone else went to see The Muppet Movie before lunch.

It's really bright in here Mommy.

I was hungry, but no one read me the menu or asked if I wanted anything.

If you aren't going to order me any food, I'm eating the plates!

Are you going to give in? Why is everybody laughing?

Happy birthday, Uncle Josh! Let me give you a birthday slobber!

Playing bocce. I got pretty close to the snitch. I mean, the pallino.

Saying goodbye to everyone at the party.

Daddy and I went home early because I needed a nap. I snoozed on the way home, but then I was awake again until way past my bedtime.

Uncle Josh, trying to feed me.

We left Sunday morning to go home. We stopped to pick up Duke and Mommy and Daddy bought some groceries. Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al gave me and Mommy and Daddy our Christmas presents, but no one took pictures. And it was Uncle Neil's birthday and we didn't get any pictures of that either. Mommy and Daddy need to get better about having that camera ready to go. Sheesh. I have an audience to please, you know?

Next week is my first Christmas, and I'll be eleven months old, and it will only be one month until my first birthday!

Take care everyone!
