Life, Rearranged

2011-12-11

This week we stayed home. Mommy did some baking for the students who work with Daddy, and she did some baking for us. Well, for her and Daddy - all I got was a little nibble on a cracker.

Eating a homemade saltine cracker with Daddy.

I also had a chance to wear my new snowsuit this week because it was cold enough, but not too cold, for me to wear it on a walk with Daddy and Duke.

In my snowsuit, going for a walk with Duke and Daddy.

Hurry up and get your boots on Dad! It's hot in this thing....

All week long I've been staying up late - no more of this 6:30 bedtime for me. When Mommy and Daddy try to get me to go to bed, I scream and scream and scream and cry and kick my legs and stand up in the crib, and then, when I've crushed their will to let me "cry it out," they pick me up and I get to play some more.

Somebody didn't want to go to bed....

Having the dining room as my playroom wasn't working out, so Mommy and Daddy decided to trade bedrooms with me. This involved making a mess.

The Mess, part 1

Parked in the hallway, hanging out while Mommy and Daddy are moving furniture and cleaning.

The Mess, part 2

All clean!

Now I'm in Mommy and Daddy's room, the big one with the closet, and they are in the tiny little room that used to be mine. But now I have so much more room to play. And there is carpet, nicer carpet than what was in my old room.

My new room - entertainment center.

Table and a chair for company.

My clothes, hanging neatly.

My supplies.

Sunday morning I slept in late - I didn't get up until almost 10:00. Guess I was tired from staying up late all week.

Me and Mommy getting ready for breakfast.

This week I learned my first baby sign: light. I practice all the time. Now I need to learn some more so I can communicate with these people and make more elaborate demands.

Telling Mommy and Daddy what that thing hanging from the ceiling is: light.

That's all for this week. It was nice to stay home and relax for a change.

Take care, everyone!
