This week was mostly normal, until Thursday when me and Mommy went visiting Mommy's family all on our own. Daddy stayed home to work and take care of Duke.
Here's me at the beginning of the week, playing with Gyro.
Hanging out with Gyro.
Since I've been holding my head up, Daddy wanted to see if I would ride in the carrier he bought at a garage sale. I'm not a big fan of it yet. It was early in the morning, though, which is why Daddy looks a little goofier than usual.
Daddy trying out some contraption to carry me without holding me.
Overheard on the morning this picture was taken:
Mommy: Now you know what it feels like to be pregnant.
Daddy: He didn't weigh nearly 20 lbs. when you were carrying him.
Then Mommy said something about putting on more weight than that, and Daddy wisely kept his mouth shut.
Mommy had Daddy bring me to her work so I could meet Anne. No one remembered to take pictures, so here's a shot of me in the car seat getting ready to go.
Going to see Mommy at work.
And now for some gratuitously cute pictures of me:
There is something about that light fixture....
Wearing my sweater. Dad decided to take a picture before we went on our walk.
I decided to give him one smile.
On Thursday after Mommy finished with work, we hit the road for Great-grandpa Les and Great-grandma Muriel's house. We made it all the way there without stopping.
Me and Great-grandpa Les.
Me and Grandpa Kevin. People kept calling those little things in the picture dogs - don't they know dogs are much, much bigger than that?
On Friday, Great-grandpa Les was having a birthday, and everyone helped get him a new grill for a present.
Mommy! Mommy! Don't let them cook me!
Some more pictures from Great-grandpa's birthday party:
Great-grandma Muriel was excited to have me at her house.
Here's me with Great-grandpa Les again.
And again.
Here I am demonstrating my arched-back get-away technique. Grandpa Kevin knew the right counter-move, so I was unable to get free. This time.
On Saturday we went to a baby shower for Jacob, who is Mom's cousin Liza's new baby. I'm not sure how that makes us related. I'm a boy and a baby, so you can't reasonably expect me to know these things.
Leticia, Dawn, and Brittany. Leticia is going to have a baby this summer, so Jacob and I will have another little kid to play with at the lake.
Hanging out with Great-grandma Joan at Jacob's baby shower.
Jacob and I would have had a lot to talk about - if we had been given a moment of peace.
Jacob
After the baby shower I went to Great-grandpa Eldon and Great-grandma Joan's house to visit.
Me with Great-grandpa Eldon.
Me with Great-grandma Joan and Great-grandpa Eldon. They seem to like babies.
And on Sunday morning we got up and got ready to go home.
Grandma Gail and Grandpa Kevin giving my fingernails a touch-up before I went home to see Daddy and Duke.
I was good for Mommy the whole way home - we didn't have to stop even once. I really like riding in the car.
Daddy and Duke were happy to see me. Daddy fed me, then we went for a walk with Duke while Mommy made some cupcakes. And that was it for the week.
Thanks for reading! Have a good week!
