New Tricks

2011-04-25

I spent a lot of time in my play gym this week. I like to kick the posts that hold it up and make the little animals jiggle around. And I enjoy looking at the cute baby in the mirror.

This week I had an emergency bath because Mommy found potatoes behind my ears. I'm not sure what that means, other than that, according to Mommy, Daddy didn't scrub enough the last time he gave me a bath.

All clean now.

Mommy had a day off on Tuesday, so she stayed home with me and Daddy went to work during the day. Mommy got out my little green chair and taught me how to sit up on my own.

I'm still a little wobbly.

Daddy had to give it a try the next day.

Duke wasn't too impressed - but he can't really sit on the floor himself. His butt slides out from under him.

What else happened this week? Emily sent me a present in the mail - and she sent me a picture too! Thank you, Emily!

I like pictures!

Hi, Grandma!

Grandma Gail was trying to get me to go to sleep - not working yet!

Go Twins!

Speaking of the Twins, Mommy and me are taking Daddy to a Twins game for Father's Day (shhh! Don't tell him!). Actually, the game is after Father's Day, but people tell me it's the thought that counts.

Me and Daddy.

Since the Twins play outside, I needed a hat for the game so my noggin doesn't get scorched. Or wet. Or cold. You can never tell what the weather might be like around here.

Does this make anyone else think of Swedish fish?

And if the sun is out, I'll need some eye protection. These are nicer than what I wore under the Billi lights back when I turned yellow for a few days.

I'm also ready to go along with Dad and Uncle Neil when they go to another concert.

Grandma Gail and Mommy wanted to see what clothes will fit me for the next couple of weeks until I get even bigger, so I tried on a lot of outfits this weekend. Daddy thinks these overalls make me look like Great-grandpa Robert.

And finally, Auntie Kara sent me an Easter present - a baby lamb. Mommy named him Gyro. Daddy wanted to go with Lambchop.

Me and Gyro.

Sorry the blog was late again this week - Daddy went to a concert with Uncle Neil and took the laptop, so I couldn't do the blog until today. And since it was so nice outside, me and Dad went for a couple of walks with Duke rather than stay in the house.

And I'll warn you now the blog might be on Monday next week as well, since me and Mommy are going to visit Great-grandma Joan, Great-grandpa Eldon, Great-grandma Muriel, Great-grandpa Les, Grandma Gail, and Grandpa Kevin next weekend. And we're going to a baby shower for baby Jacob. Baby shower? Do I need bring a towel?

Have a good week everyone!

P.S. I enabled comments for everyone - just remember I'm a little kid and use appropriate language.
