Week Two

2025-09-07

This was week two of school, and Mom and I were on our own. If you remember from last week, Dad went up to help Bob for a few days. We missed Dad but we had a great week.

We saw Eden on one of our walks.

We got some donuts on another walk.

Working on AP US history. Getting my brain cow milked. Yeah, the teacher says it every time.

The impossible puzzle.

This one was too hard to be fun.

I climbed at Recess, but no slides - this is where I broke my leg the second time.

A little light reading for Friday night.

Talking war and history with Dad.

Playing Civilization.

Mom's turn to play.

Watching Henry V in my Henry V shirt.

Focused on the movie.

Here are some pictures from Dad's trip - all of them taken on Labor Day:

Jim's hot rod.

A beautiful day on the river.

Bob hauling people down for a boat ride.

Dad talking to Gerald and Jack.

Dad and Bob.

Rain rolled in everyone got soaked.

This week I finished reading The Giver and started working on my literary analysis of the book. When Dad got back we finished listening to A Study in Scarlet, the first Sherlock Holmes book, and started The Sign of Four, the second Sherlock book.

While Dad was away, Mom and I watched Dragon Prince and The Central Park Five documentary. Friday night we watched a talk by Ryan Holiday at the Naval Academy about his book Discipline Is Destiny, and Saturday night we watched Kenneth Branagh's Henry V (as seen above). Sunday night I watched more Dragon Prince with Mom.

And that was my week. Take care!
