Summer Is Here!

2025-06-22

This week I finished up my testing for school. I also finished my swim lessons. Summer is here!

Hanging out at the pool.

Mom, too.

We also went to the park with some friends.

Kicking the ball for Phoebe.

Mom saw something she has never seen before - an egg with a double yolk. I did not get why this was weird. Dad thought the weird part was that Mom had never seen one before, with all the eggs she's cracked over the years.

Here's proof.

On Thursday Jonathan and I went to see How to Train Your Dragon in the theater. We went by ourselves, and then we met Mom and Dad and Caroline at the ice cream shop after. We also went to the bookstore and the comic book store (or game store, as Jonathan calls it).

Before I left for the movie.

With Mom, watching Big Bang Theory.

We stayed home this weekend. Dad and I did bike rides before 7 AM both days, but it was still really hot. We had plans Sunday, but they were cancelled because the heat index was 104. So we stayed in and did stuff around the house. Dad sorted LEGO, Mom worked on curriculum, and I re-enacted the Seven Years War using a map of eastern Canada from National Geographic that Uncle Neil gave me that originally belonged to Great-grandpa Robert.

This week in reading I was still working on The Never-ending Story and Dad and I finished listening to Huck Finn (I liked the ending best).

We started watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine again, and there were some really good, funny episodes this week. We are still watching Big Bang Theory, and we also watched The Right Stuff, which was really long - but I liked it. And on Sunday night we watched Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld, which gave some backstory on Ventress and Cad Bane.

That was my week! Take care!
