This week we did school, and Dad and I went on a couple of bike rides. We also went to the bike shop because we forgot to get a water bottle and cage for my new bike. I really like riding the new bike - it is amazing! Dad likes his, too. We had one day out at the park with Jonathan and Nick, and Jonathan came over on Thursday for a couple of hours to play with LEGO.
Monday night Dad and I built some shelves together while Mom was cutting and folding and taping dozens and dozens of boxes.
Working on the new shelves.
Adding the rails.
First three done.
Tuesday I met up with Jonathan and Nick at the park.
Ready for battle.
Tuesday night I built two of the shelves by myself, and Dad only built one. And Mom cut and folded and taped dozens and dozens more boxes.
Putting the screws in to finish it up.
Then right into the second one....
And to finish up, we put together a table.
All done with the building!
And then it was time to fill all those bins with all the boxes Mom has been making every day - she hit a personal best of over 260 on Sunday! And Dad and I worked in the basement Thursday and Friday nights, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday sorting, and sorting, and sorting...and we are still not done.
It has to get messy before it gets organized.
We will be working on this all next week.
Otherwise, we have been watching The Big Bang Theory at night, when we aren't sorting LEGO. I am reading Poppy and Rye by Avi, and on Saturday I listened to all of The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder by David Grann. It was really good - one of the best nautical books I have read or listened to.
And that was my week! Take care!
