It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas (Finally!)

2025-02-16

Well, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas is supposed to look, anyway. We finally had some snow! But not quite enough to go sledding until after I had left for the weekend.

We did school, and part of school this week was watching a couple of Charlie Chaplin films: City Lights and The Great Dictator. Both of them were very funny. I also started a new book, The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, which is an alternate history book, so just the sort of thing I like.

Jonathan came over this week for some LEGO fun.

Playing with part of our street scene.

On Thursday I went with Dad to collect our free bag of LEGO from Bricks and Minifigs. We had a hard time filling it without Mom. It also did not help that the LEGO pit was picked over. We saw some cool stuff there and I picked up a few new minifigs.

That's the ship I got for my birthday!

Our free bag of LEGO for the month!

I also got some minifigs: a diner worker, Privateer Barbossa, and three Highwaymen.

After the visit to BAM, Dad took me to Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's to stay for the weekend. While I was there I watched the end of season seven of Young Sheldon with Grandma and Grandpa, and I went to the dog park to see my furry friends. I also got Grandpa to take me back to BAM, and I got to talk to Rob, the owner, while I was there.

Back home, Mom worked on curriculum for my next year of school and beyond, and Dad worked on some of his projects. Mom also washed all the LEGO Dad and I picked so it would be clean and ready for play.

Washed LEGO - thanks, Mom!

And that was my week - take care! And bundle up - it is supposed to be cold next week!

P.S. Coming soon (once we have time to edit it): I will be posting an interview I did with Great-grandma Muriel.
