This week we did school as usual. And it was cold! Lots of negative temperatures! I had to go to the orthodontist on Wednesday, but I actually got up early enough that I managed to do all of my school work before we went to the appointment. We stopped to see Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al and Loki afterward.
Reading some poetry books.
Got my birthday card from Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al a little early.
I also dropped off some thank you cards for my Christmas presents.
On Thursday I got my haircut, so I got to see Beans. And we did Recess since the temperature was close to freezing for the first time in a while. Jonathan brought some string, and we made a long bow. We also went on a little adventure across the ice to the little island just off the shore. Like Shackleton!
Visiting with Beans after my haircut.
Caught reading again....
Jonathan, Nick, and me at Recess - the one warm day of the week.
We made a long bow.
Thursday night Dad and I finished reading Project Hail Mary, which was great! Such a good book! As a family, we finished watching Dark Matter, which had a great ending to the first season.
Friday we did school, and Friday night and Saturday we worked on finishing Ted Lasso - which was an awesome show!
Watching the last few episodes of Ted Lasso.
Saturday night Dad and I watched Gladiator, because we are going to see the sequel in the theater on Sunday.
Sunday we stopped to see Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al on our way to my birthday adventure.
I got out my pirate gear.
Grandpa had to clean up some of Loki's fur, which got all over me, as it always does.
From Grandma and Grandpa's we went up to the mall. We went to the LEGO store and built some boxes from the pick-a-brick wall, found a Wolf Warrior in the bin of minifigs, and I got a couple of sets - Ahsoka's interceptor and the midi-scale Acclimator. We also walked around, looking at other stuff, like the arcades. And we got some donuts at Dunkin'. We were too busy having fun to to take pictures, except for one at the go cart track.
Checking out the track to see if we want to go racing.
Dad and I needed to get to Gladiator II, but our room at the hotel was not ready, so we had to leave Mom and all of our stuff in the lobby. On the way to the movie, we stopped at a Walmart to get the one set I wanted that LEGO was sold out of.
Waiting to get my ARC-170.
From there we went to the movie. It was awesome! I am so glad I got to see it in the theater! It was even better than the first one.
After the movie we went to the hotel, and my amazing mother had everything put away and grilled cheese waiting for us. Thanks, Mom!
Back at the hotel...on my king bed!
What a fun week - and a good start to my birthday fun!
And that was my week - take care!
