Another week of nice weather, though it is starting to cool off. It is definitely fall. There are a lot of LEGO project pictures to start with this time - I've been busy. But there are more people pictures in the second half of post.
A beautiful fall morning.
A battle on Hoth.
A battle on Scarif, from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Working on math.
At the apple orchard with Jonathan.
A battle on Kashyyyk.
I also worked on my medieval village.
I replaced the stable I had built a few weeks ago.
Another battle: Ventress versus Ki-Adi-Mundi.
On Saturday we left for a weekend of fun with Freya. But first we stopped at the LEGO Store and filled some boxes at the Pick-A-Brick wall. Mom is awesome at making sure the boxes are as full as they can be.
Lots of good stuff to pack in these boxes!
It's been a while since I got a picture with Aang.
We also went to IKEA and bought some more dividers for the Kallax shelves, so I can fit more minifigs and small sets in my displays. We had IKEA veggie hot dogs for lunch. From there we checked into our hotel and made a brief stop at BAM on the way to Freya's soccer game.
This chess set is amazing! And it's only...$1,250???
The BIG Millennium Falcon - even bigger than the one we have.
Minifig displays boards that look like the Death Star.
At the game!
Freya's on the left side of the circle.
Dad.
Me with Freya after the game. It was close, 1-0, but her team lost.
Dad in the hammock.
Freya playing with her slime.
She's a mean card player.
Mom was playing cards, too.
Some turkeys wandered through the yard.
No one will be surprised we got the can of whipped cream out....
Dad cut all the short videos together to make it easier to watch.
Ran out of daylight.
We went back to the hotel to relax and get some sleep to get ready for Sunday, the last trip to the amusement park for the year.
The internet and the elevator were broken at the hotel, so we hauled our stuff down the stairs and checked out early. We took an indirect route to the park, making a stop at the location where a new Bricks and Minifigs will be next year. Yes, I am so excited I took a picture with the empty storefront.
Sunday was very windy, and not very warm. Not a lot of other people came out to go on rides. Which meant more fun for us!
I'll be back.
Getting out of the wind.
On the swings.
We are in the last car. You can maybe see the yellow and orange we are wearing.
Time for mini-donuts.
Who are these weirdoes following me around? Oh yeah, they're the ones that pay for stuff.
Kara with the armload of stuffies we won.
Playing some midway games.
We also went on Wild Thing a few times, and Mom went with us on High Roller. I went on the mouse roller coaster with Josh and Freya since there was not a crazy long line for it like there always seems to be.
Later in the day we went to a part of the park I hadn't really been to before to see if the Steel Venom ride was working. The crew was doing some maintenance, so we waited around for them to finish and tried some rides that were new to me.
I drove Josh and Kara.
Freya drove Mom and Dad.
Another new one - forgot the name. But it is a little like the Avatar skateboard ride.
I was feeling adventurous. I just hopped on this one. I'm under the umbrella in the picture.
This was fun!
I went a second time and Freya joined me. She did not like it as much as I did.
The Scrambler!
Finally Steel Venow was ready! Josh went with me.
All strapped in....
Whoa! This thing takes off FAST!
What a great view from up there!
That was amazing!
Telling Mom how much I loved it.
And that was my week. I did do school as well. Mom and I are staying on schedule. We did watch a movie this week - Napoleon Dynamite - which I really liked after I got over being confused by the title. I'm just glad we didn't have to watch that movie about the actual Napoleon again. We also listened to most of Romeo and Juliet on the car ride to see Freya. The version we listened to had the guy who played Shakespeare in Shakespeare in Love as Romeo and David Tennant, our favorite Dr. Who, as Mercutio.
That's all folks! Take care!
