Happy New Year!

2024-01-07

I had the first week of the year off from school, so I built a lot of LEGO, listened to a lot of history podcasts, and finished reading Crispin: The Cross of Lead by Avi. It was a good book. Dad had Monday and Tuesday off, so we worked on some LEGO projects, like the Fortified Lighthouse.

It's so tall!

We also did Recess, even though there was no school for us - always good to get outside for some exercise.

Lightsaber battle with Jonathan.

I spent a lot of time working on my LEGO - reorganizing, making displays, building - next week I will have to put up more pictures of all the stuff I have done.

Working on inventory....

Here is the lighthouse on display.

Lighthouse with the castle and the medieval village.

Just the village.

Abe and George with the Captain of the Titanic and the figures I made to be Marshal Dillon and Miss Kitty.

Galileo's study.

We made a short trip to see my grandparents to say hi and pick up some things. We stopped to see Grandma Wynne, Grandpa Al, Uncle Neil, and Loki first, then we went to see GG, Grandpa Kevin, and Max and Abby.

I had some more presents - these were from Aunt Nancy and Great-grandma Muriel and Great-grandpa Les.

I think Abby wants to help....

A new Star Wars reference book!

Time for the second one...

More maps! More battles! More history!

We went home for the afternoon. I had a call with Jonathan on FaceTime and Dad went for a hike with Jonathan's dad, Ned. Later we all watched Star Trek: The Next Generation, and then Dad and I worked on rebuilding some of my 501st mini AV-7 cannons into a second troop transport.

And that was my week - a good start to the New Year! Take care!
