LEGO Room

2023-01-29

This week we did school and Recess, but mostly it was about LEGO. I finished building all of my sets from Christmas and my birthday, Dad and I built some new shelves, and Mom and I completely reorganized the LEGO room.

My Build-a-Bear wolf, General Grant, was coming apart, so Mom had to fix him.

Just some minor surgery.

I worked really hard and built the big castle all by myself. It was the biggest LEGO set I have ever built.

Finishing up the Lion Knight's Castle.

All done!

Mom checked IKEA's website Saturday morning to see if the shelves we wanted were in stock - and after four months we could finally buy them! Kara, Josh, and Freya were kind enough to go to IKEA on a Saturday, and then bring them to GG and Kevin's house so we didn't have to drive so far. Josh and Dad managed to get all the shelves in the car, but they just barely fit. We visited with GG, Grandpa Kevin, and Max and Abby for a while, and then we went to Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne's to see Loki. Freya came over too, so she could see Loki.

It's amazing what will fit in this car. Also, it needs a wash.

Freya and Loki.

When we got home Saturday, I helped Dad carry in all the boxes and we built one shelf. Sunday morning we built the other three. Dad tried to tell me that IKEA is Swedish for LEGO, but I didn't believe him. It was still fun building, though. In addition to building the shelves, we also had to move most of the LEGO, because we rearranged the whole room. Mom and I moved sets and cleaned while Dad attached all the shelves to the walls. We all worked the full morning plus some of the afternoon, and it looks so nice now that it is done!

Starting the relocation project.

Working on the shelves.

Setting up my Hoth display.

Me and Mom.

And that was my week. Thanks again to Kara, Josh, and Freya for braving IKEA on the weekend and meeting us halfway with the shelves. Take care!
