Christmas!

2022-12-25

Christmas is finally here! I finished up my school work for the calendar year by getting 100% on my spelling test and doing really well on my math quiz.

Dad finished up his year of riding by hitting 600 rides and 5,000 miles on his iFIT bike.

I feel like he should look a little more tired than this.

Mom's year ended with baking off the last of the cookies and making cookie boxes for some of our friends in town.

Crinkle cookies

Sugar cookies

Gingersnaps

Icing bags

The winter storm that was supposed to make travel impossible didn't really hit us, so we went out and delivered cookies for a couple of hours. We were too busy jumping in and out of the car to take pictures, but Caroline sent us some pictures of Jonathan enjoying his box of treats.

One last look at our tree.

We hit the road early Saturday morning and stopped at Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's to deliver some presents.

Of course I got them Winne-the-Pooh LEGO.

Then we went to GG and Grandpa Kevin's to deliver more presents.

And a blue monkey for Max.

On the way to celebrate with Kara, Josh, and Freya, we made a stop at IKEA to make a return, and then went to the mall for lunch. I didn't know we were going to go to the LEGO store. And I didn't know they would have the rebel trooper battle packs I have not been able to find anywhere. I was going to buy some with my money - but Mom said I didn't have to. And then Dad bought the modular police station....It was short trip to the LEGO store, but very exciting.

What an awesome surprise!

We finally got to Freya's house and unpacked...and then we left again to go to church. Kara is the head pastor, so we went a little early. We got into an accident on the way - a guy bumped the back of the van a little bit. No damage, and no one was hurt - just slowed us down a little.

Hanging out with Freya before church.

Freya did one of the readings.

When we got back from church, we all got dressed up to open presents.

Christmas jammies are back!

Let's open presents!

And then there were more presents Christmas morning. And yes, we were all still in our jammies.

Playing with some of our new toys.

And we got the gerbils out.

The rest of the day we stayed home and played Breath of the Wild, ate cookies, and played BINGO.

What an awesome weekend!

Hope you all had a good Christmas and stayed safe and warm! Take care!
