Happy New Year!

We started the New year out nice and easy - by staying home and enjoying our clean house. Daddy and I watched The LEGO Ninjago Movie and played a lot of the LEGO Star Wars video game. And I helped Mommy make lunch.

On Wednesday I went back to school. My teacher was really impressed that I read for an hour a day every day of my vacation.

Thursday after school Mommy and I made banana bread. It was yummy! On Friday, Mommy and I played Ticket to Ride: Rails and Sails, and we all watched Shrek together.

Saturday morning Daddy and I got up early and drove out of town. We wanted to get a good look at Jupiter, Venus, and the International Space Station. And we did see them all! (no pictures, though) We were hoping to see Mercury as well, but it was too close to the horizon and there are too many trees and hills around here. If we had been at Jenn and Bob's house, we would have seen it.

After that adventure, stopped at a wildlife preserve near our house and looked around. It was cold and there was no one around because it was 6 AM on a Saturday. We walked around a little, but my hands were turning to ice so we did not go far.

It was really pretty back in the park.

We went home and read books and played video games. We also went to the library and checked out a big pile of books. Before supper, Daddy and I played Ticket to Ride. Mommy made us spaghetti and we all watched Willow.

Sunday we stayed home all day building LEGO, reading, and working on winning our video game. We are almost at the end of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and it is so exciting!
