This week was Mommy's birthday!
On Monday I had an appointment to get my heart checked. I'm okay. Just something the doctors are going to do every three years to make sure I am staying healthy.
Taking Gyro's blood pressure before it was my turn.
On Wednesday, we went to a baseball game for Mommy's birthday. It was really hot. We hid in the shade as much as we could, and Mommy and I watched the second half of the game from behind home plate, hidden from the sun. Daddy was close to getting a foul ball twice, but they landed next to other people who were able to grab them first. We ate a lot of expensive food, got sunburned, and had a good time. The Saints won, 10-3.
Mommy and Charlie.
Hi, Mr. Murray!
Looking at the ball park.
Getting some ice cream to cool off.
Mommy drinking a Bill Murray and hiding in the shade until the game starts.
Watching for foul balls.
I know what this looks like - but it's a vegan brat. It tasted kinda like pizza.
Hanging out with Mudonna
After the game we went out for supper with Freya, Kara, and Josh at the place where the guy makes the volcano out of an onion.
Mommy got to wear the birthday mask!
Thursday we built some LEGO robots.
Thank you for visiting Henry's LEGO factory.
One dozen robots.
Friday morning, Mom and I went to some garage sales. And in the afternoon, my friend Atticus came over with his mom and dad and little sister. Daddy and Mommy were too busy talking to take pictures of that.
Looking for deals.
Saturday morning we went to an open house at Lock and Dam 6. Normally we can't even get close to the buildings at the locks, but this time the gates and all the doors were open. We saw some Coast Guard boats and we got to wander all over the lock and the dam. It was really cool. And then we got lucky and a barge came in while we were there.
Visiting Bobber, the water safety dog.
Standing on the gate.
Looking at the giant gears with Mom.
Standing on the dam.
Photobombing Mom and Dad.
This tow boat showed up to help a big barge come into the lock - there was a strong current because the river is running high.
I got to blow the horn from inside the lock building.
This was a pretty cool remote control toy they have at the lock.
Watching the barge come in with Dad.
Here is the barge coming in.
The barge just barely fits - the lock is only five feet wider than the barge.
After the lock, we had some lunch and went to the art museum. I looked at some paintings and did a craft project with Mommy. Daddy took a long time looking at all the pictures.
At the art museum. I liked the paintings with animals.
And the captain's wheel was fun to play with, too.
We stayed home the rest of Saturday, and again on Sunday. I played with my LEGO and watched cartoons.
And that was my week! Take care!
