Belated Birthday Adventure

2015-02-02

This week I had some tubes put in my ears, and that went well - no problems (although I did not like having the ear drop for a few days after). When we left the hospital after I was done, we stopped to watch an excavator knock down a house. And when I got home, there was something from Nancy, Michael, and Dave in the mail.

A package for me? What could it be?

It's a present!

What's inside?

Snow plow!

Although Mommy was sad to miss it, Daddy and I went up to the Mall and the Zoo on Saturday to do some of the things we were supposed to do for my birthday last weekend. We met Kara and Josh and Freya and went on some rides. Freya went on the train and the carousel, and Daddy and I went on the train, the swiper cars, the bus, and the tiny little roller coaster.

Waiting for the train.

It's okay Freya. The train will go soon.

See, there's your Mommy.

Hi Kara!

Daddy's having fun.

After the rides we had lunch. Freya and I shared some Mac & Cheese from Noodles. Then I got to open presents! Kara and Josh and Freya gave me lots of Daniel Tiger books to read and Toby for my train tracks! Thank you!

Opening some presents.

Me with Josh, Kara, Freya, and Toby!

After lunch, Daddy and I went to get some frozen yogurt. On the way I rode in the trucks. Daddy gave me three kinds of frozen yogurt, and I liked the peanut butter flavor best.

What's the hold up?

Enjoying some peanut butter-flavored frozen yogurt.

OUCH - my head hurts. I guess Daddy was right, I shouldn't eat this too fast.

Before we left we stopped at the LEGO store, but we didn't get any LEGO. The set I wanted was sold out and somebody grabbed the last one of the other set I wanted right in front of me. I was very sad. But Daddy carried me out to the car on his shoulders and we saw some planes taking off and we made it to the Zoo before it closed.

We walked around outside and visited the tigers and the bears and the leopards. No pictures because it was cold and Daddy didn't want to take his gloves off. We left the Zoo and went to Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne's house. I was very tired because I missed my nap, but I stayed up to watch part of a movie and read some of my new Daniel Tiger books.

On Sunday we went to see Great-grandma Dorothy in her tower, then we came back to Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne's for lunch, then we went to visit Great-grandpa Les and Great-grandma Muriel. There was lots of snow everywhere we went!

And since Grandpa Al was home now that he has someone else to drive the truck, we got to play guitar!

Okay Grandpa, let's play!

"I hear the train a-comin' / it's rollin' round the bend..."

Then we went home to see Mommy and Duke and so I could get Toby on my train tracks. He was happy to see all his friends.

And that was my week. Take care everyone! Stay warm!
