A Quiet Week at Home

2014-02-02

This was a quiet week at home. No one was sick, no one was volunteering, no one was running off to appointments. Mommy caught up on her homework and Daddy and I played with LEGOs every day.

Two more birthday cards arrived this week, and the one from Great-grandma Joan and Great-grandpa Eldon had a little paper shirt in it! The other one was from Aunt Nancy. Thanks for the cards! And I think I forgot to thank Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Bob and Great-grandma Darlene for their cards that arrived last week.

A money shirt.

There was some work to be done around the house, so I had my hammer and wrench out to take care of things.

Hammer.

Wrench.

Friday night people came over to play games. I went to bed early. Since I was sleeping, Duke got to be the center of attention.

Emily, Sean, and Sophie were trying to determine which of them Duke liked best.

Daddy and I were home all day Saturday on our own because Mommy was working all day. We played with LEGO trucks and read books and watched George. Daddy also took a nap with me, although he said he didn't intend to.

On Sunday morning Daddy and I built a LEGO car carrier and Mommy and I painted my train tunnels. I took a nap and when I woke up Grandpa Al was here to play with me! I showed him my new truck and we played hide and seek and watched George.

Painting.

More painting.

Watching George with Grandpa Al.

Grandpa Al left while I was taking my bath, and then I went to bed after Daddy and I read about the steam train and the dragons who love tacos.

And that is all for the week. Take care, everyone!
