Now I am Three

2014-01-26

This past week I turned three!

Mommy was doing some volunteering this week, so Daddy and I spent our time reading Curious George and playing. I brought out my wooden train set to go with my new blocks.

Building some new tracks...

...and a train station.

On my birthday, Mommy and Daddy had to wake me up. Don't they know you're never supposed to wake a sleeping baby?

Trying to sleep in on my birthday. Thanks for waking me up, Mom and Dad.

Birthday breakfast.

Everybody at school sang Happy Birthday to me, and after Mommy and Daddy picked me up at the end of the day, we went out for supper. I had a grilled cheese, french fries, and some pickles. Mommy and Daddy tried to get me to eat some lemon supreme pie for dessert, but I didn't want any. The servers at the restaurant also came out and sang Happy Birthday to me. After supper I got to open a card from Great-grandma Dorothy and one from Great-grandma Darlene. And I got a present from Mommy and Daddy.

One more birthday present - Mack!

Friday night my friend Emily watched me while Mommy and Daddy went out for a couple of hours. We had lots of fun - but no one remembered to take a picture.

Mommy and Daddy were both doing some volunteer work on Saturday, so Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al came to visit with me. We played with my trains and my blocks, we read some books and watched some Curious George, but we had the most fun with my excavator and my flatbed trailer. Daddy put new batteries in the excavator and Grandpa showed me how to get it to drive off the trailer all by itself. That was so exciting I had to do it again and again and again.

Daddy and I played with LEGO trucks and read books on Sunday. And that was it for the week. Thanks to everyone for the birthday cards and gifts!

Take care and stay warm!
