The Calm Before the Storm

2013-12-22

I have three Christmas parties coming up, so consider this short blog a breather for all of us before the inevitable blizzard of holiday pictures to come.

This week we stayed home. I went to school, but had to come home on Tuesday due to a fever. I was better on Wednesday and went back on Thursday.

Daddy took Friday off and I went to stay with Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne while Mommy and Daddy bought supplies for all the Christmas goodies Mommy is making. Here is a partial list of what she is doing:

- Making almost 500 mini cheesecakes for Grandpa's business, and three family parties

- Making Christmas Eve supper and dessert for Great-grandma Darlene

- Helping make Christmas Day food for Great-grandma Muriel

- Making desserts for Great-grandma Dorothy's Christmas party next Saturday

Whew! I am tired just typing that out....

We left Mommy at Great-grandpa Les and Great-grandma Muriel's to bake and cook, and I went back home with Daddy and Duke - and we brought Grandma Wynne with us!

I played with my trains for many hours.

And I watched a lot of Curious George.

And we went out for dinner just to get out of the house for a while. I had pancakes and french fries. Yum.

Waiting for food.

And that is all the excitement there was. Next week there will be more, I promise.

Take care everyone! Merry Christmas!
