Time Travel

This week we have a special feature: pictures of Daddy when he was almost exactly the same age I am now. Can you see a resemblance between us? It's okay if you think I am cuter. Daddy doesn't mind.

We have several firsts for this week as well:

1. My first tooth finally broke through my gum. Three more are on deck, just waiting to come out.

2. I pulled myself up off the floor and onto my knees for the first time. You'll see a picture of that below.

3. Not content with my knees, I pulled myself up so I was standing without help for the first time. Daddy tried to make a video of that, but I'm not ready to have that captured yet. I need to perfect my technique.

I'm still too wobbly to walk, but watch out - any day now. Any day now.

I love to play with stuff now that I can move around so well. Mommy puts out toys for me and I wander all over the dining room examining things.

Mommy went to a meeting with Auntie Kara on Friday, so I stayed home with Daddy. Grandpa Al, Grandma Wynne, Great-grandma Dorothy, and Auntie Diane came to visit me for the day. We had lots of fun - I crawled all over, everyone got to hold me, and I even got to sit in my singing chair. Daddy was too busy visiting, so he didn't get a lot of pictures.

They brought my chair again!

On Saturday we were on our own. Daddy and I played with LEGO bricks and my busy box; we read stories; we took Duke for a long, long walk in the afternoon; and I took my naps without complaining.

Very excited about something. Probably food, since I am sitting in my eating chair.

Mommy came home on Sunday. We all went for a walk in the afternoon. Mommy was tired, so she took a nap when I did. We all played together in my room, too. I had fun all weekend long!
