What Is This Thing You Call Waffle?

2011-11-07

Hello readers!

We had some small adventures this week - here are the pictures:

Playing with my car collection.

Mommy and Daddy read to me all the time. I like to pick out my own books.

Making my selection.

Mommy gives me a bath in the kitchen. She puts my tub right in the middle of the floor. Bath time is okay - I like the toys best.

Bath time!

Bath time may be over - but I'm not letting go of my rubber duck!

Exploring the dining room - but I am always staring through the gate into the kitchen. Sometimes Duke is on the other side staring back at me. I don't think he likes not being able to go wherever he wants to in the house.

Darn gate. I never get to go into the kitchen!

Hey Mom! Wanna play a game?

Let's play CANDYLAND!

Mommy and Daddy gave me something weird to play with this week. It was called a "waffle." They laughed because everything I get my hands on goes straight into my mouth - except for this. Apparently "waffles" are food, and food is supposed to go in your mouth. I guess toys aren't supposed to go in your mouth, then. Grown-ups have all kinds of silly ideas.

Umm...what is this thing? It doesn't feel like a toy.

Definitely not a toy.

Is this what I'm supposed to do with it?

On Saturday we went shopping with Grandma Gail. We went to a book store so I could get some new books. Mommy picked out the Butter Battle Book and Daddy picked out Where the Sidewalk Ends.

Mommy took some pictures of me and Grandma Gail while we were waiting for Daddy to bring the car around.

On Sunday I went to see Great-grandma Dorothy with Daddy and Grandpa Al. Aunt Diane and Uncle Milton were there, and so were Uncle David and his friend Deb (Daddy forgot to get a picture of me with them this time).

In the afternoon we went to visit my friends Urizen, Tennyson, and Xander. We played with toys, saw kitties, danced in the basement, and Mommy and Daddy talked a lot with the other Mommy and Daddy. We had so much fun Daddy forgot to keep track of the time and we missed the party we were supposed to go to for his friend Ann (Sorry Ann!). Daddy's says he's going to buy a watch so he won't lose track of time so easily.

Xander.

Me and Urizen. He learned to walk since the last time I saw him. That's a good trick. I'm going to learn that one.

Tennyson.

Me in the ball pit. I wasn't a big fan.

Dancing with Daddy in the basement. We took pictures of the other boys dancing, but they move so fast all that showed up on the camera were blurs.

This slide is...in the house?

Sebastian rescued me when I was stuck under the table.

Playing with Urizen.

When Daddy finally thought to find out what time it was, not only had we missed the party, but we were getting close to time to feed me again - so we had to hurry home. Daddy says I am like a Mogwai from the movie Gremlins: until 7:00 PM I am a cute and cuddly little Gizmo, but after 7:00 PM I turn into Stripe - the nasty Gremlin that causes all kinds of trouble. Mom and Dad get a little panicked when it gets close to 7:00 PM and we aren't near my bed. We made it home in time last night. But barely.

Back home, eating some orange goo for supper.

That was about it for the week. Take care everyone!
