This was a fairly quiet week - the last one for a while, I think. We stayed home and did the usual stuff.
Me and Duke, hanging out in my room.
Duke likes to lick my feet.
Mommy is making desserts for Jenna's wedding, so Jenna stopped by to discuss some things with Mommy.
Me and Jenna.
Me and Mommy.
This week Mommy tried to feed me orange gunk again, but it tasted better than before. I actually liked it. That is because the orange gunk was sweet potatoes and not carrots. Daddy also fed me some sweet potatoes.
This orange gunk tastes gooood! More! More!
You're too slow old man - gimme that spoon!
I'm getting tired of being carried everywhere. I need to move on my own. Unfortunately, I'm having a little trouble getting going.
Working on my crawling form. I can't move without doing a face plant into the floor, but I'm working on staying up.
Still working on that crawling thing.
Mommy and Daddy both read to me almost every day. I like hearing stories. They hold books up and I hear about Winnie-the-Pooh and the City of Ember and other interesting things, like the Poky Little Puppy and Little Toot. I thought I would try to hear the story in the book without Mommy or Daddy, but that didn't work for me.
Hmmm...Mommy and Daddy do this all the time. How hard can it be?
This thing isn't making any noise. I can't hear the story. Is it broken? Maybe I'm not holding it right....
Still no story. Well, if it won't talk to me, I might as well find out what it tastes like.
Yeah, it tastes like that rice cereal they feed me.
I've just started to notice all the interesting things around me. Was I missing all this before?
Playing with Daddy's baseball glove.
Me and Pooh Bear.
This singing chef guy kinda creeps me out.
Mommy and Daddy try really hard to get me to sleep. And I try really hard to stay awake - but eventually I fall asleep. I don't want to, I just can't help it.
Apparently I sleep in odd positions. Mommy and Daddy flipped me over on my back after taking this picture.
They took this picture about an hour later, and flipped me on my back again. They didn't take pictures of the other two times they found me like this.
Mommy did a lot of baking on Friday and Saturday. I sat in the chair and watched her. I also listened to some music.
I like this music you're playing Mommy. Who is it?
Saturday night Ammara came over for dinner to say goodbye before she moves away. I got to sit at the table with them, but they wouldn't let me have any of the food - and it looked much tastier than the new orange gunk.
Me and Ammara.
Sunday we stayed home, except for when Daddy and I went to the park with Carol, Leighton, and Elliot. I went down a couple of slides with Daddy. Sorry, we didn't get any pictures of that. Mommy sorted through all my old clothes that don't fit me any more, and she washed the new clothes that Auntie Kara sent me (thanks Auntie Kara!). I played on the floor with Daddy before I went to bed, and Mommy took a picture.
Me and Daddy playing on the floor.
That's all for this week. The blog will be a day late next week because we are going to visit Jenn and Bob on the farm and I will probably be too tired to get it done on time.
Have a good week!
