This was a busy week! Many, many trips to the pool, a big LEGO project finished, working on end-of-the-year testing for school, and picking more strawberries. And some other stuff, like finishing reading My Side of the Mountain and starting Sophie's World.
Monday
Swimming lessons started! The first day was nice!
Tuesday
The second day of swimming was less nice - only about 63 degrees and it was raining. Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne came over to take me to my lesson because Mom had some doctor appointments. The doctors were looking at her throat to see if there is a problem with her swallowing. After lunch, we went to Recess. It was just me and Jonathan, and we made some weapons.
Mom at her test.
Here is what they were looking at.
I made an ax!
Jonathan made one as well.
More strawberries.
Wednesday
More swimming, and I finished our newest big LEGO set.
On the diving board!
Our new modular building - the Natural History Museum.
Thursday
Swimming lessons again today, and we went to the pool for fun. And we picked strawberries. Who knew we could get so many out of such a small part of our backyard.
More swimming lessons.
Swimming for fun.
Did you see the surprise at the end? That was from Sunday.
Even more strawberries!
Friday
I bet you can't guess where we went on Friday....
Busy afternoon at the pool.
Saturday
Dad and I took an early morning bike ride to beat the rain. We left the house at 5:45 AM - no one was out. We rode downtown to see the carnival rides and to check out the river. In the afternoon we watched a movie. Well, the first part of a really long movie.
The river is up! That's a road where the family of ducks are.
Another shot of the river and the flooded street.
Getting ready to watch Lawrence of Arabia with Dad.
Sunday
One more trip to the pool to finish off the week. We met Jonathan and his parents at the pool Sunday afternoon. This time Dad went swimming! He did the slide and the diving board. We stayed for a couple of hours. It was really hot, but the water felt good. And it was nice to be at the pool when there wasn't much of a crowd.
Dad tried out the waterslide....
And the diving board!
And that was my week. Take care!
