Run, Freya, Run!

2024-06-02

A lot going on this week. We are getting close to the end of school now, just a couple more weeks and some end of the year testing to go! Recess was good this week - we had some nice weather. And I have been working with some LEGO projects, so that was good.

Sunrise on Himeji Castle.

Bird watching - a kestrel almost got a bird that was stunned after slamming into our window.

BARC Speeder chase - wanted to preserve it with a picture before I took it apart.

At the park - everything is definitely green now.

We got a cookie cake to celebrate this week!

More pictures of my evolving castle set up.

I made a wave that's slamming into the Viking ship.

And a wizard battle!

Lots of fighting in the towers.

On Saturday we went to see Freya at Girls on the Run! We met GG and Grandpa Kevin there!

At the starting line...

Waiting for Freya near the finish line.

Here she is! Running with Josh!

We stayed a little longer to see Audrey and Jenny finish their race, and then we left to go to Bricks and Minifigs. Freya and everyone else met us there after they finished up with race stuff.

This battle droid was new - I want one!

And I like the clone trooper, too!

From the store we all went to Freya's for lunch - we had a picnic!

We left after lunch and went to the LEGO Store. It was busy! We had to wait a couple of minutes to even get in, there were so many people. We filled three boxes from the pick-a-brick wall and picked out a couple of sets that will be featured soon. Sorry, no pictures - we were just trying to get in and out.

On the way home we stopped to wish Grandpa Al happy birthday! Dad has been bugging me to play checkers with Grandpa for a while, so I bought a LEGO checkers and chess set that just came out so I can play LEGO and checkers at the same time!

And then we headed home. It was a long day - we had left home at 6:15 AM and got home just before 6:00 PM. We were all ready for something to eat and to laugh at Community.

Sunday was quiet. Mom needed the rest, and I needed to work on my new LEGO projects. Dad did some LEGO as well. Dad and I watched some of Clarkson's Farm at lunch, and we all watched War Games and Community in the evening. It was a good day.

All that was fun, but we also had a sad part to the week: we had to say goodbye to my sweet little girl Abby. Here are some pictures of her from the past thirteen years:

We miss you Abby!

That's all for this week. Take care.
