LEGO Week, Pirate Weekend

2024-02-18

This week we had a homeschool LEGO Field Trip with Jonathan and his family. We went to the newest Bricks and Minifigs to open in our state, a big game store, and the LEGO store!

Digging through loose LEGO.

Checking out the minifigs.

I did not get any sets, but I did get some cool minifigs, including some custom ones of Star Trek: The Next Generation - Picard, Geordi, and Data!

Dad forgot to take pictures at the game and comic shop - he was too busy looking at comics. I did get a Bone book that I was missing. Then we headed over to the mall for lunch and more LEGO.

We had falafel, fries, flat bread, and a chocolate shake for lunch.

This is new since we were last here.

Jonathan and Caroline filling a box - no more plastic cups!

Me and Jonathan with the LEGO dragon.

Tired boys.

A new ride coming soon....

Jonathan and his parents went home, but we drove over to Freya's house. We surprised Auntie Kara because I rang the doorbell and just walked right in. But then we waited for a little bit and met Freya at school to give her some Valentine's presents.

Ding dong!

Surprise!

Freya totally didn't notice us until I ran right up to her!

Handing over the goods!

Freya liked the little LEGO sets we got her, and the candy. I got some money - which I spent on a couple of pirate books.

Oh yeah, we did school this week, too.

And we had just a light dusting of snow.

Recess was cold and windy - but we did it!

GG and Grandpa Kevin gave me a gift card to DQ for Valentine's Day, so I bought a cake!

Jonathan made a comic book, so Dad and I read it together. He made up some funny cat stories!

We needed to let the cake thaw a little more to get the knife out.

Starting Friday night, it was Pirate Weekend! We watched the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies, I ordered some pirate books (as mentioned before), and I watched a lot of pirate documentaries when I was not listening to pirate podcasts. Oh, and then I decided I needed another LEGO pirate ship, so we went to Target and got one.

And that was my week - take care!
