The trip is over, but you can still relive the excitement by revisiting the posts from our epic five-week journey through American History. If you follow the archive link in the top middle or bottom middle of any post, you will see a link for AHT (for the American History Tour) beneath the listing of years. That link will take you to the index page for the trip. All the days are also listed under the 2023 link, just scroll down to September to get started.
Since we got back Wednesday night, I went to Recess on Thursday. Mom was catching up with Caroline and forgot to take pictures. It was just me, Jonathan, and Anthony at the park, but we had fun! It was great to see some of my friends again.
And then I went to see my grandparents for the weekend. Got to see GG, Grandpa Kevin, Max, Abby, and also Grandpa Al, Grandma Wynne, Uncle Neil, and Loki. Mom spent her time working hard to get our vacation stuff put away, then she rearranged a bunch of the house, collected a pile of stuff we no longer use to get rid of, and made sure everything was clean and put back in its proper place. Dad went back to work, but he did help Mom some on the weekend.
This is what we came home to: an empty refrigerator.
It is pretty full on the outside - we picked up a lot of new magnets.
We didn't get a magnet for all the places we went, but it's a pretty representative collection.
That's about all there is to show for second half of this week (remember, we did three posts at the beginning of the week when we were still on the trip). I know, it's a bit of a let down after all the pictures from our adventure. Life on the road is fun! Big thanks to Mom for working so hard to plan such an amazing trip! And working so hard as navigator to make sure we were able to make it to all those amazing places! And to Dad for keeping us safe on the road and not getting a single scratch on Grandpa Al's new car.
Take care - and thanks for reading!
