Swimming

2022-10-23

This week we did school and recess. We went to the library and checked out a big pile of books for my History Day project. And Dad ordered me some from his library.

It was another beautiful week to be outside, even if the weather was a little colder at the beginning of the week. At Recess on Tuesday we filled a slide with the tiny rocks from the playgound.

And then we went down the slide to push the rocks off.

Recess on Wednesday and Thursday was less exciting.

Spinning with Jonathan.

After Recess on Thursday, Dad drove Mom and I to meet Kara and Freya for our weekend of fun. We got to stay in a fancy hotel with a pool and a really big exercise room with lots of cool machines.

Hotel BINGO card to add some fun.

Okay. I can see why Dad likes this so much.

We had to come back before bedtime to go again.

My results.

Friday we went swimming. I did not want to at first, but once I was in the pool, I remembered how much I like playing in the water.

Getting in the pool.

I remember now - this is fun!

Me and Auntie Kara.

Me and Uncle Josh.

Freya.

Time to jump in!

Well I won't do that again....

Trying to figure out how to swim underwater.

While we were doing all that, Dad was cleaning up the garage, getting things ready for winter, and detailing the car.

Dad's "fun."

Unfortunately, after all that fun, I got sick. I had a fever that came on in the night and we ended up coming home Saturday morning. Mom took me to get tested: no COVID, no flu, and no strep. So it must be something else I either picked up at recess or something related to being in the pool.

Breakfast before we came home.

Saturday and Sunday I mostly watched cartoons and played with LEGO. I took some naps. My fever seemed to go away Saturady night, but it was back Sunday night. Hopefully it goes away soon. And hopefully Mom and Dad don't get sick.

That was my week. Take care!
