Another big week. I went to my first LEGO Club, we took a field trip to an art museum, went to the state fairgrounds for some fair food, attended a special event about armor and medieval fighting, and wrapped it all up with a visit to a pizza farm. And then we came home to hot weather and no air conditioning over the holiday weekend.
First up was LEGO Club - which was really more about talking about LEGO and running around the play area at the park. But it was great! Thanks to Mom for finding it.
At LEGO Club.
Dad took Friday off and we went an art museum. We had a picnic in the park across the street and we were joined by Kara and Freya. The Museum had so much cool stuff - lots of ancient stuff from China, Japan, India, and Africa, and painting and sculptures from Europe and America - and we didn't even get to the modern wing at all!

At the fountain.
Look at that amazing Greek helmet!.
There was an AT-AT sculpture at the museum!
A suit of armor.
Super cool sculpture!
After a little break to sit down and relax, we went to the fairgrounds to eat some fun food. We also went did the big slide.
Eating fresh chocolate chip cookies at the fairgrounds with Freya.
We went down the slide a few times - here is a video of that.
So hot from doing the slide we had to get some snow to cool down.
More snow please!
We ate more food and then made the long drive to our house. I stayed up until we got home, but I was really tired.
Saturday morning we took it easy and then went to the event at Castle Rock to learn about armor and fighting. Freya, Kara, and Josh joined us.

I had a turn, too.
The lecture is underway.
Time for the guys to fight!
Here are some videos of the guys demonstrating fighting techniques and doing a little sparring (fair warning: the video files are a little large).
Trying on the gauntlet.
After the demonstration, we drove into the countryside to the pizza farm and a proper wood-fire pizza - not the saltine cracker with ketchup and a little cheese on it we got at the fair the night before.
Playing at the pizza farm.
We had a short drive home this time, which was nice. We stopped for some frozen yogurt on the way. And the house wasn't too warm when we got home, despite not having any air conditioning.
Sunday we stayed in and watched the thermostat go up (the temperature didn't drop down enough overnight to get the house cooled down). Dad and I played a lot of LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga on the XBOX, which did probably help heat up the house a little.
And that was my week. Take care!
