This week we spent some time outside since the weather was so nice. And I made a new friend. Audie is my age and he really likes history and geography. We talked on FaceTime a couple of times and we are planning to meet in person next week.
Fun with Flags - showing my flags to Audie.
I guess this is how we make friends in a pandemic.
Adding historic events to our calendar.
We went to a nearby wildlife refuge for a field trip. We saw a lot of birds and some other critters - but they were all too quick and wouldn't hold still, so no pictures of them. It was fun and there were not a lot of people around, so that was nice.
Jonathan and Caroline looking for birds.
Learning about the wildlife area.
We did a lot of walking.
When I talked to Audie the second time, we discovered we had some of the same books, so we were quizzing each other and sharing our favorite parts of the books.
Nerding out with Audie.
We went to the homeschool group again this week. The lesson was about gardening.
Listening - but I really want to play in the pile of dirt.
Looking at the garden stuff with Mom.
Playtime in the backyard!
On the weekend we worked on getting the garden set up. We all moved dirt and filled up the beds Mom and Dad built last weekend. Then we went to get some plants to put in the ground. While we were there we saw Angie and Kyra.
I'm almost as tall as Kyra!
On Sunday Dad and I rode our bikes around the lakes and then we went to swing the bat at the baseball field close to our house. I didn't forget how to hit over the winter - I really smacked a few of them.
And that was my week. Take care!
