Field Trip

2022-03-13

This whole week was basically a field trip, since we styed at Freya's house and did fun activities out in the world every day! What a change from being at home every day....

Monday

I hung out with Mom and Kara while Freya was at school, and once she got home we played outside - they had a lot more snow than we have at our house.

Playing out in the snow.

Catching up on the news.

Playing with Freya's BB-8 toy.

Tuesday

The teacher's in Freya's school district went on strike - so we went to the picket line before we started our adventure for the day, which was going to the zoo.

We made signs, too.

Taking some notes at the zoo - we did a lot of note-taking throughout the week.

More notes on the animals.

Freya and I with the status of Zeus the tiger.

Watching the tiger.

Checking our wingspans.

Showing off our take-home animals on the way out.

Wednesday

Time for the Science Museum!

Masked up!

Piloting the barge!

Taking some notes on shells.

Olmec head.

Aztec calendar.

More notes on dinosaur fossils.

Playing with the wave pool machine.

From the Science Museum we went over to the capitol building - where there was a gathering in support of the teachers. We spent some time outside, and Freya and I went into the building with Mom (no pictures of that because Mom's phone was misbehaving).

At the capitol grounds.

Playing games on Freya's laptop.

Thursday

We went to another science museum at the university.

Checking out some of the big stuffies.

Oh, yes. Brought the clipboard to take more notes.

This thing looks even bigger in real life!

Found a Bad Batch shuttle at the toy store.

Friday

Dad came to pick us up Friday morning, and we were home by noon. We had an easy day and I was excited to get to spend some time with Dad for the first time all week and to watch some Rebels.

Saturday

We had some people over on Saturday for the first time in a long time (well, people other than family, that is). Rowan and his parents came over to hang out and have lunch. We had grilled cheese and tomato soup. Rowan and I played: video games, LEGO, military toys, and Battleship.

War games.

You sank my Battleship!

Sunday

We had a quiet morning, but my friend Atticus came over for the afternoon. We played video games and LEGO and had a lot of fun.

And that was my exciting week: traveling, visiting, field trips, and visitors. The weather looks very spring-like for next week, so hopefully I will be able to get out on my bike. Take care!
