This week we went up to visit Bob and spend some time on the farm. We left on Thursday morning and drove through smoke almost the enitre way from our corner of the state to Bob's.
After a long day in the car, the first thing I had to do was drive Bob's golf cart.
Driving the golf cart.
The next day we we went over to the John Deere dealership and I bought myself a couple of toy tractors - a 4020 and a 3020. Then we stopped to see Kenny at his shop and find out if he had any new toys. He didn't, but we went with him to see a field that had four combines working at the same time.
Watching a combine with tracks.
In the afternoon we went out to see Trevor working in the field.
We got to see Trevor's combine.
And I got to ride in it for a couple of hours.
A flower from near the wheat field that Dad found while he was waiting for me to be done riding in the combine.
Sitting in one of Trevor's trucks.
In the evening we visited with Bob and had a boat ride on the river.
On the pontoon.
Captain Bob.
A smoky sunset on the river.
Saturday morning we picked up sticks for a little while, and then I learned how to drive the lawn tractor.
Unloading some sticks.
Using the dump box is faster.
Learning to drive my first tractor.
I'm getting good at this.
We went out to the field to see Trevor again, and this time I rode in a tractor with the grain cart.
In the field again.
Time to unload.
And in the evening we went on another boat ride.
On the pontoon again.
Sunday morning we brought out all the toys and practiced driving them all. I also played auctioneer. And once again, I rode with Trevor in the afternoon. We met him at the elevator in town and I hopped in the truck.
Pretending to have an auction in the driveway.
Looking at the town cannon while we waited.
Riding in the truck with Trevor.
Another picture of the grain cart, taken while we waited for the truck to get loaded.
That was it for the week, but we stayed on the farm for a few more days, so there will be more pictures next time. Take care!
