Goodbye, Trees

2020-06-28

This week I went to the doctor, after having my yearly check up delayed by several months. I'm all good.

I also went to stay with Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al for a couple of days.

Got my toys out.

Laughing with Grandma on the deck.

Playing with my new magnatiles.

Our lilies finally bloomed at home.

The big news this week was our tree coming down. The city took it out because it was hollowed out and dying, plus they are tearing up our street in the next couple of weeks and it wouldn't have survived having its roots cut. We are losing 49 trees on our street this summer - just about all of them that are of any size at all. Mommy took a video of it coming down.

Timber!

The tree getting chopped up.

The view down the street.

We now have a good, clear view of the house.

And we can get a good look at massive, rotating clouds when the weather is just right - like it was Sunday night.

I slept in a pile of blankets and pillows in the basement closet.

Even though I had a decent number of things to share this week, let's go back in time anyway....

2019 part 1: Miller Park.

2019 part 2: The foul ball we got at Miller Park, hit by Eric Thames of the Brewers.

2019 part 3: Waiting for play to resume after a rain delay - White Sox vs. Twins in Chicago.

2018: At Zoo Camp!

2017: Trying to get that baby goat to come over to me.

2016: Riding a camel with Dad.

2015: I'm a lumberjack!

2014: Me and Oppa.

2013: Laughing with Mom.

2012: I wore a mask before it was cool.

2011: Hanging out with Daddy in a hammock.

And that's it for this week. Hope everyone is staying cool and safe now that summer is really here. Take care!
