Championship Game

2019-09-15

This week started off normal. I did some reading. The bus was late. Then the Thursday market was canceled due to the weather, but we had a very busy day at Saturday's market. I even got to see a barge go by.

Getting my reading in.

I got a new shirt!

The bus was 30 minutes late, so we had more time to play catch and to see this rainbow!

Barge!

Watching the barge pass by.

But then the Saints won the first two games of the American Association Championship Series, so Daddy bought tickets for game three when the Saints came home to finish the series. He was hoping we would get to see them win it all!

At the stadium, waiting for the game to start.

Supper at the ballpark.

And of course some dessert.

Cheering for the Saints as they take the field!

Eventually someone will hit a home run that will fall into my glove.

Me and Mudonna!

Me, Daddy, and Mudonna!

Hey! Where's my hat?

Mudonna took it!

Silly pig! That's my Saints hat.

Here comes Gert the Flirt to paddle me.

They've almost won...

They did it! Saints win!

Time to party on the field!

Talking to Brady Shoemaker.

Me and Jeremy Martinez

Me and Dan Motl - my favorite player.

Out in center field where Dan plays.

Time to say goodbye for 2019 - we'll be back next year.

The Saints were down by three after the first inning, but Baker hit a home run that landed pretty close to where we were standing at the time, and two innings later Chesney Young hit a GRAND SLAM! It was so exciting - everyone was screaming and jumping up and down. And then the Saints got another run and it was 6-3 in the top of the ninth and the batter hit into a double play...and that was it - the Saints won! We went onto the field and talked to the players and played catch in the outfield. We didn't leave the ballpark until almost midnight!

We stopped and stayed at Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne's instead of driving all the way home. I was asleep, and Daddy was pretty close to being asleep. We spent most of Sunday at their house. We went shopping for baking supplies for Mommy, and we cleaned up my toy room and played with Loki.

Helping Grandpa.

When we got home and Dad had the car unloaded, we went to see Mommy, who was doing a market down by the river. It was slow, and I needed a shower, so we did not stay long.

And that was my week - take care!
